Print Isn’t Dead, Just Digitally Preserved In Ecto-Containment
When Ghostbusters was celebrating its 24th anniversary I began to preserve out of print Ghostbusters content, adding it to then Ectocontainment. Trivia: I’m pretty sure it was The Real Ghostbusters Jumbo Coloring Book. (Ecto-Containment PDF file) I didn’t even have a physical copy of it! In 2011 I did have plenty of physical Real/Ghostbusters out of print materials to preserve. Mainly my legacy with The Real Ghostbusters Magazine(s) and NOW The Real Ghostbusters comics. They were originally hosted at Ectocontainment, later Ecto-Containment. The digital files would evolve thanks to ghostheads Matthew Jordan and Paul Rudoff. From then to present day as I had or was given permission to share “newer” physical content I did and would.
Originally my files were so large I didn’t have enough space to host them all at Ecto-Containment. Even with a team effort and so I could host other files here I made the decision to move all the preservation files from the basement to upstairs. (Ecto-Containment Blog Post, April 22, 2015)
All periodicals have been here at Ghostbusters Firehouse for the last 4 years to this day. I’ve always wanted to bring it all back to Ecto-Containment. That was my plan. Today on my day off that’s exactly what I did.
Ghostbusters Paranormal Activity Book
Ecto Crank who I only knew of from Twitter is a UK ghosthead who sells custom made Ghostbusters themed patches and pins. “Occasional creative,” Ecto Crank created a Ghostbusters Paranormal Activity Book. Similar to The Real Ghostbusters activity books ghostheads could have spent time with in 1988.
…activity book filled with Ghostbusters themed puzzles, colouring sheets, word searches, etc. designed initially for franchises to give away at conventions but could easily be used by teachers for schools and clubs or you can just grab these for your kids as a rainy day activity.

MacOS Users: The download file seems like some alien file extension. It’s a Windows (I guess) file known as a .7z. You’ll need the free The Unarchiver before you can open GPAC.

Playmobil Ghostbusters TV Spots

I haven’t had satellite in more than a year. Even if I did I wouldn’t have been watching a network of cartoons. Paul R. from Spook Central (Facebook) was and saw a TV spot for Playmobil (US) Ghostbusters sets.
A bit odd, the US version isn’t on Playmobil (YouTube) channel. Although the UK version is. Paul found the US version at iSpot.
As I was preparing this blog post I also saw Playmobil has Ghostbusters videos for Sweden, Norway, Denmark, France, Netherlands, and I believe Spain.

Playmobil (US) latest way to promote their line of Ghostbusters play sets has arrived. Unless you were in the know, (I wasn’t) Playmobil created a brand new Ghostbusters comic book set in the Playmobil Ghostbusters “universe.” Even though it’s meant more for kids, it isn’t a couple of wavy lines. Playmobil art comes in at 14 colorful pages!
Besides having a new Ghostbusters comic, the best part its 100% free! You or the young ghostheads can download Playmobil’s Ghostbusters comic PDF here.
Alternatively as we thought ahead to a time when the comic might not be at there site, it’s also been uploaded to The Magazine Rack. Hope that’s cool plastic Playmobil lawyers.

Although kids and thirty somethings could Playmobil (US) Ghostbusters without an ID, we all know IDs are fun. Especially Ghostbusters ones.
That’s why Playmobil created a mostly automated Ghostbusters ID generator. (English Language) You or kids (please get permission) can use your own photos or a choice of Playmobil Ghostbusters figures. Once an ID or two have are to your liking, you can even print it out!
